How does taxi pricing work?
At Diggers Shuttle & Taxis, we calculate your fare based on several variables. One of two base rates will be applied depending on the booking time and day of the week.
The meter will then accumulate during your ride based on kilometres travelled – or a per minute basis when waiting or if you get stuck in traffic.
For maxi taxis there’s a 50% surcharge on top of the overall rate with any tolls, Passenger Service Levies or additional charges applied at the end.

We’ve been in operation for over ten years! Beginning with a single driver, in this short space of time we’ve grown to hire 30 drivers and 50 vehicles; including sedans, maxi taxis, mini buses and coaches.
Our fleet are also available for fixed price shuttle services and general charters. So, if you’re planning a special event – such as a hen’s party or Hunter Valley winery tour – we have the transport service for you.
All our drivers have undergone National Police Checks, Working with Children Checks and are fully insured to make sure you get to your destination safely.
